Volunteers make lives better.

Thank you for volunteering to serve in the Gulf Coast in 2010. We had over 1300 applications from all 8 regions, medical groups, Program Offices, KPIT and the Federation. You are among the following individuals that have been selected and confirmed to spend a week in New Orleans. Over the course of the coming weeks, your Project Leaders will schedule conference calls to discuss what you’ll need to know to be prepared for your week in the Gulf Coast, and answer any questions you have. They’ve all been down as volunteers before, and some have served as Project Leaders once as well.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sending out additional information about making travel arrangements, project descriptions, checklists for what to bring, etc. You will also be contacted by someone in our Northern California Multimedia department to provide a photograph of yourself and a short bio that will become part of the KP website coverage of the project. To see last year’s coverage, go to http://info.kp.org/communitybenefit/html/get_involved/global/gulf/index.html

I’m looking forward to meeting all of you on April 25th! In the meantime, please begin to introduce yourselves to each other. Some of the people on this list will become great friends, and become a part of what we refer to as our extended Gulf Coast Ohana (family).

Regards,

John
